Welcome to the website of the Vereniging Amateur Tuinders, the horticultural association that has existed for 100 years and has been located at 17 Lies Bakhuyzenlaan in Amsterdam since 1958.
On the public part of our site, you can find, among other things, information about activities that are organized at our park (and nearby), a history of the garden park, and information about possible membership.
Of course, you are also very welcome to take a tour of our garden park. Our park has a public character. For example, there is a botanical garden, also known as 'Het Schakelpark'. The rich variety of flowers and plants – a variety that can also provide members with inspiration – makes it a pleasant place to be.
